  GENESIS PROJECT
Participants

The GENESIS project is composed of three levels of participants :

The Consortium :
The consortium is composed of the following key European pools of publics and independent expertise in the satellite navigation field :

- the Agenzia Spatziale Italiana (ASI-IT)
- the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES-FR)
- the Agency of the UK Ministry of Defence (QinetiQ-UK)
- the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR-DE)
- France Developpement Conseil (FDC), an independent consultant company which is acting as the project co-ordinator.

The consortium shares the work and responsibility of the overall project and manages the network of members and experts.

The Members :
The members hold a special position in on-going Galileo related activities (co-ordinator in EC, ESA projects or European national programmes). They support the overview of on-going GNSS activities and facilitate their monitoring.

The Network of Experts :
A database of experts has been set up. This network is providing a « TANK » of expertise that can be used upon request. This network of experts covers a very broad spectrum of expertise and is able to deal with any issue relevant to Galileo. This network is currently composed of hundreds of experts spread all over Europe and it will remain open for new experts till the end of the project (4 years).
